Dear group

I examined a small collection of hoverflies catch in the Italian Alps =
(near Turin and Cuneo) and in the interesting material I had the =
opportunity to find two males of Portevinia maculata. At the moment this =
is the first record of this species in Italy. I would like to know what =
is your experience with this specis from the Alps. The two specimens =
has been collected in mountain pasture, at 2000 m. Is this common for =
this species?

Thank you=20

Daniele Sommaggio
