Dear List,
I was fortunate enough today to collect a female of the Nearctic species
Xanthogramma flavipes Loew. The collecting site itself was an 'ecotone'
area between a wet Sedge/Grass meadow, and a long established, drier, 'old
field.' I am aware that the European species of Xanthogramma are often
found in grassland habitats (although not exclusively, I believe). I am
wondering, has anyone had experience collecting X. flavipes, and if so- can
you recall what the habitat was like? Thanks in advance.
