Your synthesis reinforces the fact that, education, as is true of any domain of intellectual inquiry, is shaped by history, research, and politics. Your piece has helped me understand how education evolves, and how it is influenced by academic trends, cultural forces, and individual participants. This is especially true when it comes to the issue of identifying the “best” pedagogy for teaching literacy.
