[Reading-hall-of-fame] Re: Very, very sad news...

Dear David, Yetta Debra and all,

When I read this, I remembered key moments when I met and had an opportunity to engage with Ken and Yetta, an amazing team from the 1970s to this past year.  Ken has changed our understandings of not only reading and language but education in so many ways.  We are collective biographies, and we will carry forward what we learned from him both formally and informally.  We are also historical beings and will take his inheritance forward to the new generations.  Ken and Yetta are part of the fields collective biography also.  Let us pay forward what Ken and his family and colleagues have supported us in understanding and how this has transformed the lives of students, teachers and all who have worked with them formally and informally.  

Sending thoughts and committing to continuing the work.
