Thanks for these wonderful comments.  David and Taffy, like you, I was also
a TA for Jay for several quarters in that course.  And one summer when he
was gone and could not teach it in the summer, he offered me the
opportunity to teach it over 5 weeks, gave me tons of lecture notes, and
mentored me in preparing for it.  Like you, David, he was on my doctoral
committee as well.

And, of course, when Jay and I co-edited RRQ for 5 years, I got a whole
extra post-doctoral education in research design.

Good to hear these stories.
