Hi Colin,
Below is the message that I would appreciate you posting for me:

Dear Colleagues,

It is with great sadness that I pass along the Rutgers’ Dean of GSE’s message of Dorothy Strickland’s passing.

The biographical data included in the Dean’s message came from the Reading Hall of Fame’s website.

Along with many of you who knew Dorothy and her spirited scholarship and advocacy for equitable education in reading and writing, no one can ever take her place. She is truly, as the Dean described her, a literacy giant.

Special thanks to Cheryl McLean, a faculty member at Rutgers, for alerting me to Dorothy’s passing.

Respectfully,

Donna Alverman
