[Reading-hall-of-fame] Re: RHF elections, 2019-2020

RHF colleagues,

As I looked at this year's slate of RHF candidates for election, I was
overwhelmed by the quality of the slate. Not to imply that the rest of us
were not elected from highly competitive pools...., but there were SO MANY
qualified candidates. I could easily have voted yes on at least 8-10 of
those in this year's pool without compromising even an ounce of quality.

It makes me wonder whether we should adopt a variable stance in deciding on
the number who can be elected in a given year, primarily to acknowledge
that there will be an ebb and flow in the size of the "deserving candidate"
pool from time to time. Perhaps we could suggest a two year expansion to 8
or 9, at least X (maybe 3) of which shall be from outside the US.

Topic for discussion at our next meeting at LRA in Tampa (is that right?)
