[Reading-hall-of-fame] Reading Hall of Fame nominations

Greetings to all Reading Hall of Fame members:

 I hope you are all enjoying the beginning of the summer wherever you are.

It is time to nominate new members for election into the Reading Hall of Fame.  These new members will be inducted at the Literacy Reading Association conference next December, 2019 in Tampa, FL.  Please email me your nominations, sent directly to me at jan.dole at utah.edu<mailto:jan.dole at utah.edu>, on or before Monday, June 17, 2019.  Please do not send your nominations to our group email address.

I have attached files including all our living and deceased members.

Please send to me:

1) your name and affiliation and email

2) the name and affiliation of each person you are nominating

3) Please indicate if the nominee is a US citizen or a non-national. Also indicate if your nominee is living or deceased

4) a 150-word description of the nominee's contributions to the field

5) a URL link to the nominee if it is available

Below are the criteria for nominations

1) Nominees shall have been actively involved in the field for a minimum of 25 years

2) Nominees shall be widely known and respected by people in the profession

3) Nominees’ contributions can include:

authorship of publications, including reports of significant research, and

performance in positions of responsibility, including preparation of leaders in the field through teaching

Thank you for your contributions to this process.  Once I have the nominations, I will generate voting ballots, and we will have two rounds of voting, primary and final voting.  The goal is to complete the voting by mid July.
