Good People
It seems that within a number of the countries in which RHF members reside the teaching of reading at the beginning levels is once again a political hot potato. This is particularly true when it comes to those youngsters that have been deemed to be at-risk or dyslexic. Daniel Willingham has a blog that generally provides a level headed look at a range of educational issues. This most recent post deals with this topic. At the very least it gives one pause to think and reflect. Whether you end up agreeing or not agreeing, it is worth the read.

(On another note, across the next couple of weeks I will be working on the RHF homepages for our new inductees, so if anyone of you would like me to update your respective page, feel free to holler my way. May you all have a wonderful holiday season and a most excellent New Year as well.)
