[Reading-hall-of-fame] Results of Reading Hall of Fame Election 2017

Dear Reading Hall of Fame Colleagues:

I am writing with the results of this year’s balloting process for inducting new members into the Reading Hall of Fame.  Voting participation this year was 31% in the first round and 45% in the second round of balloting.  Due to a tie vote, the RHF Executive Committee voted to induct 6 new living members into the Reading Hall of Fame this year rather than conducting a run-off election, as has been the practice in the case of a tie in years past.  These new members have all been contacted and have responded indicating their acceptance.

This year’s six new RHF living members elected are:


·      Dorit Aram

·      Margaret Clark

·      Steve Graham

·      Elizabeth Moje

·      Pekka Niemi

·      Annemarie Palincsar

In addition, voting this year inducted posthumously two additional members into the Reading Hall of Fame.   This year’s two RHF posthumously elected members are:


·      Susan Mandel Glazer

·      Clarence Gray
