[Reading-hall-of-fame] Reading Hall of Fame approve new Treasurer

Hello to All Reading Hall of Fame members,

I am writing to ask you to approve Robert (Bob) Calfee as the next treasurer of Reading Hall of Fame. 

Please send me an email by August 25 in which you state your opinion.

The new treasurer will assume the role of treasurer at the end of our 2015 annual meeting on Sunday, July 19, in St. Louis, when Alan Farstrup ends his term.

The treasurer's term is for four years, and Alan will mentor the new person throughout this year so the person will be ready to assume the role when the new term begins.

The process we are following to approve Bob Calfee is this: According to our bylaws, the president, president-elect (Rita Bean), and one other member appointed by the president (Vicki Risko) shall serve as a committee to select one nominee for Treasurer. That person's name will be submitted to the membership for approval.

We selected Bob, he said he is willing to serve, and I look forward to your response to this request for approval.
