RHF colleagues,

Much thanks to our colleagues who have worked hard to put together the newsletter. I wish that we had finished our text complexity modules in time for the newsletter but, when working with editors and tech. folks, stuff happens and time passes.

I'd love for all of you to take a look at the text complexity modules that we are launching at textproject.org and also to spread the word on their availability. The five modules attend to aspects of text complexity and are aimed for use in teacher ed. courses or professional development. Each module deals with an issue of text complexity (e.g., what alternatives are there to quantitative measures of text complexity?) and includes (as part of the download) a short background article, activities for participants, guidance for professors/staff developers, and texts needed to do the activities.

Check it out and spread the word! http://textproject.org/teachers/teacher-development-series/

Freddy

PS: Everything is available for free download as are many other instructional supports at textproject.org
