Reading Hall of Fame members,
I've been remiss in keeping you up-to-date on the gala event to celebrate P. David Pearson's birthday.  It is on.  Sunday evening, May 8, beginning at 8p.  In case you want to get dressed up, think "Mad Men" (the tv show, not the characters in the SRA readers).  Please plan on being there (you will receive a more specific invitation in about 10 days).

Of course, I'm sure  P. David would appreciate it if you turned up as a character from the SRA Readers. In fact, I've even heard a whisper that there is to be a special prize for the person who looks most like the most famous Mad Man of all, Alfred E. Neuman (author  of 'Humor in a Jugular Vein').
