Don Graves
Donald H. Graves was a pioneer in fostering life-long engagement with writing among children. He was a much-loved teacher and mentor, school principal, language supervisor, education director, and a director of language in bilingual, ESL, and special programs. He also was a co-director of an undergraduate urban teacher preparation program, a professor in an early childhood program, and author of paradigm-shifting books including Writing: Teachers & Children at Work (Heinemann, 1983) and A Fresh Look at Writing (Heinemann, 1994).
Join us in remembering Don through tributes, stories, and reminiscences from those who knew him well.
Light refreshments provided.
Special Thanks to Heinemann for their Support of this Celebration
