We're in the dark once more about the abrupt departure of an IRA
Executive Director.
This is not a tolearable situation. For the second time in two years we
are confronted by such an event
cloaked in mystery and intrigue. None of this can be good for IRA.
To be told that he left "to pursue other interests" doesn't tell us
whether he quit or was fired. We need to know.

We can't let lawyers determine the rights of members to know what is
going on.
Our foriegn affiliates have expressed concern personally to us about the
problems at the IRA
quarters and the lack of information. IRA is in real danger of falling
apart.

For the sake of the futureof an increasingly fragile organizatio we urge
complete transparency in the
handling of this perplexing situation. I'm sure other past presidents
and board memebers wuld agree
that lack of information is intolerable. The board was elected to
represent the interests of the members.
That needs to happen.
