Hall of Fame Members:

I have been in contact with Jim Hoffman and am trying to reach Bob 
Calfee in order to begin to assemble a program concerning 
re-professionalism of teachers for the Toronto convention in 2007.  I 
believe that the membership appreciated the Hall of Fame Members 
Speak on an issue format during the recent Chicago event.  I'd like 
to build on that - perhaps to establish an annual offering from our 
group.

At present, I have received expressions of interest to contribute 
from Jim, Bob as well as Taffy Raphael and Kathy Au.  Are there other 
members who would like to speak on re-professionalism?  I take this 
term as a broad representation of evaluations of current teacher 
education and professional development programs, current projects 
which involve members, and future possibilities.  If the Chicago 
session is any indicator, then I think we will offer commentaries 
from many angles.  The audience seemed to approve.

If you are interested, would you send me a brief email with a 
sentence of two on your approach to the topic.

I'll handle the formal paperwork, hopefully with Bob's assistance.
