Dear Yetta,

We need your help in getting the word out about an extension of the application deadline for The Reading Teacher editor search.

The International Reading Association invites applications from qualified members for the editorship of its journal The Reading Teacher. This volunteer position has a term of five years; the first year overlaps with the current editorial team's final year. Term begins September 1, 2006, and concludes in mid-2011. The selected editor(s) will be responsible for issues published from September 2007 to May 2011.

The deadline for initial applications has been extended to December 16, 2005.  We would appreciate your help in  encouraging qualified members to apply.
