Ken -- For the RHF newsletter

I hope to see many of your at IRA in San Antonio. Make your reservations
now!
This would be a good year to join the Reading Hall of Fame members at
the IRA annual convention.
Because this convention celebrates the 50th anniversary of IRA, members
from the Reading Hall of Fame will be featured prominently everyday.
IRA president Mary Ellen Vogt has established a Reading Hall of Fame
strand in the program and there are a dozen sessions presented by
Reading Hall of Famers.
Join us in support of our colleagues. The IRA convention planning
committee have organized many other opportunities to build on the
history of reading research, theory and instruction that has been
influenced and enriched by RHF members.

Rob Tierney, the incoming RHF president, has planned an exciting program
with the 2004 Reading Hall of Fame inductees on Tuesday morning May 3rd.
I will announce the elected 2005 inductees of the Reading Hall of Fame
and introduce those who are able to come to our breakfast early Tuesday
morning.
Please email or send the reservation form to Dick Hodges (See the form
in the secretary's forthcoming mailing.)
I am looking forward to greeting each of you at our yearly breakfast and
hope 2005 is being a healthy and productive year for you.

If you are unable to join us and want to sent a greeting for me to read
at the RHF breakfast please email me at ygoodman at u.arizona.edu
or send me a note at one of the addresses below (no later than April
23rd, please).

Yetta M. Goodman
President, Reading Hall of Fame
