Somewhat more seriously, we need to think about budget requests.
If you have stuff you would like to spend money on (think REF), please put it in the budget spreadsheet.
I put it on the agenda for next week's meeting.

Subject: RDF A9 Budget
Hi,
To date, spend from the RDF group A9 is £578.47 (this does not include any pending transactions). This is against an initial allocation of £2,000 meaning you have £1,421.53 remaining.
Could I ask you and your group to consider your spend plans and priorities to the end of July and let me know top level details including the expected cost of delivering these please? Additional funding is available but resources are finite so I may ask for further information about prioritisation if total requests exceed the available funds.
Please note, the discretionary School budget to fund research publications is no longer available. This means research groups should prioritise A9 spend on REF returnable publications, if it is not possible to link publications to research grants and thereby exploit UKRI block funding. Due to the relatively small amounts of funding available, groups should not split their allocations down to individual members but manage the available funds to maximise the REF return for the group as a whole.
To allow consideration of all requests together, please send me this information by 5pm on Wednesday 25 February.
Best wishes,
Mat
