You may have seen the below information sent out by Shineen. Please do cascade to all your contacts as it's open to: PGRs, research-focused staff, teaching staff, academic staff, technical staff and APM staff across all the faculties. We will put a call out for attendees towards the middle of May, but for now we're just looking for speakers. Please do encourage people to submit a proposal and also submit one yourself if it's of relevance to you! Deadline is Friday 15th May.

AI in Academic Life: July 2026 - Call for Speakers
Are you using artificial intelligence in your research and knowledge exchange activities? Would you be willing to share your experience with other members of the University community?
We're looking for colleagues at all career stages and in all disciplines to share case studies about how they have incorporated AI into their academic practice at our in AI in Academic Life event on Monday 13th July 2026. We anticipate that case study presentations will be approximately 5-10 minutes long followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. Depending on interest, we may run themed parallel sessions focusing on different disciplines or use cases.
If you'd like to present your experiences at this event, please complete our short application form to express your interest. The deadline for applications is Friday 15th May 2026.

About the event
This will be a cross-Faculty event which aims to promote understanding of how AI can be used in academic life. The morning session will focus on AI policies and responsible AI use, with the afternoon session focusing on best practice sharing.
