Hi all,
We have a budget for next year, albeit limited at this point.
Kind regards,
Bernd

Subject: RDF A9
Hi Bernd,
A9 allocations have for 25/26 have been calculated. The University as a whole continues to work in an environment of significant cuts to non-staff budgets across the board. This has meant that the amount available to fund research group activity remains unchanged from 24/25.
Please note, the discretionary School budget to fund research publications is no longer available. This means research groups should prioritise A9 spend on REF returnable publications, if it is not possible to link publications to research grants and thereby exploit UKRI block funding. Due to the relatively small amounts of funding available, groups should not split their allocations down to individual members, but manage the available funds to maximise the REF return for the group as a whole.
Student publications should make use of the Researcher Academy Mobility Funding wherever possible:

A transfer of £2000 will be made into the RDF code this week. This is intended as a first instalment of funds to the group this year. However, until student numbers are confirmed, particularly PGT students, the School’s overall budget remains unconfirmed, and we must exercise caution in the distribution of funds.
I/Mat will communicate information about further funding for this financial year as soon as possible.
best wishes,
andy
