Hi all,
If you missed this as one of the myriad of emails we get, I think this is very much worth your attention, especially for those of us who are on an academic contract and have hopes to go to a permanent contract or, if you already are on a permanent contract, to get promoted or a salary increase at some point.

I have put it on the agenda for our weekly meeting tomorrow. If it turns out that too many are not make the changed date tomorrow (I have apologies already from Alfie, Helena, and Hazel), then I may postpone this point, as I think it is important to discuss it.

Kind regards,
Bernd

Dear Colleagues,

You may have seen news<https://uniofnottm.sharepoint.com/sites/intranet/SitePages/New-Academic-Performance-Tool-now-live-for-academic-staff.aspx> <https://uniofnottm.sharepoint.com/sites/intranet/SitePages/New-Academic-Performance-Tool-now-live-for-academic-staff.aspx> on the staff intranet that we have launched a new 'Academic Profile Tool<https://analytics.nottingham.ac.uk/#/workbooks/3304/views>' that aggregates many of the RKE and ESE datasets that the University holds about you. Although much of the information is already available to you, this is the first time that we have bought it together in one place and made it so easily accessible.

The tool is designed so that alongside your own data, you can also see anonymous peer data allowing you to place yourself with colleagues in your area at a similar level (nb. this is only provided where there are eight or more staff). We know that uses for this will evolve as you start using it, but we see this as a valuable tool for development, for ensuring that the data we hold is right, and for supporting promotion conversations.

Senior Leaders had an opportunity to see the tool last week, and we will be following up with some demo / Q&A sessions that are open to staff in the coming weeks. We hope that you will find the tool useful.

Best wishes,

Ben & Caitlin.
