Hi All
The AVA committee (although not me directly) has been talking to the
British Neuroscience Association about strengthening links between the
two organisations. The BNA wants to have more vision in it and the AVA
wants to have more neuroscience or cognitive neuroscience in it.
It was decided that there should be a one day focus conference on Visual
Neuroscience, ideally in Sept 2018. They worked out the finance deal and
decided that the best place to have the meeting was here, in Nottingham.
They think Nottingham is particularly strong in Visual Neuroscience (and
I agree, although I had no involvement in this discussion) and like the
accessibility of the location.
So, they have asked me to see if there is are a few people keen to be
part of the organising committee. The team would need to be part
vision/AVA and part BNA.
Anyone interested? You would get the ability to program a set of
speakers and posters, including inviting at least one keynote. You also
get to pick the rooms and the buffet.
If you are interested, drop me an email or pop in.
Harriet
