Our paths crossed many times, and I always felt we came from the same place and acted as allies in matters of maths education. In particular I much admired her work with teachers, and her leadership of international groups of researchers, as well as always personally enjoying her company. I was also grateful for her obtaining for me as a great surprise an honorary degree from Loughborough. I don't sadly think I will be able to get to any memorial occasion in person, but please let me know if there is any other way I can contribute. Best wishes Margaret ________________________________ From: Maths-Education on behalf of Ian Jones Sent: 12 December 2025 14:23 To: maths-education at lists.nottingham.ac.uk Subject: [Maths-Education] Barbara Jaworski [Some people who received this message don't often get email from i.jones at lboro.ac.uk.
