Suitably qualified candidates with a background/interest in mathematics education  may be particularly interested in this post. CEIR has a strong track record in undertaking commissioned research and evaluation in mathematics education, in collaboration with members of the SHU Mathematics Education Research Group. Research  includes a number of evaluations of  NCETM programmes, EEF mathematics focused evaluations the evaluation of the DfE funded Multiplicative Reasoning Project, and currently of the Further Mathematics Support Programme and of the Primary mathematics Shanghai teacher exchange.

Another important area of CEIR's work relates to inclusion, equity and social justice.
