Applications are invited for an Economic and Social Research Council [ESRC]
+3 Research Studentship. The successful applicant will undertake a PhD
study linked to the Effecting Principled Improvement in STEM Education
(epiSTEMe) project which lends itself to a wide range of potential topics.
As part of the ESRC's Targeted Initiative on Science and Mathematics
Education, this studentship provides a unique opportunity to work as a
doctoral student with leading researchers in the field, in Cambridge and
other participating institutions.
The expectation is that the successful applicant will commence in October
2009. This full-time award is subject to the standard terms and conditions
for ESRC +3 Research Studentships. Essentially, these mean that it is
available only to persons who have undertaken a recognised educational
research training course, and who are already ordinarily resident and with
settled status in the United Kingdom or another European Union country.
Candidates must also satisfy University and Faculty requirements for PhD
study.
Details of the Application Procedure and Further Particulars of the
Studentship are available at <http://www.educ.cam.ac.uk/about/jobs/>.
