Well done Hugh/Malcolm and everybody. This accolade is long overdue
(published 1985, recognised 2008 - is this a record?)
BTW Hugh: Could Shell use some copies of the Maths Centurion posters (see
www.aa42.com <http://www.aa42.com/> and click on 'Puzzle Posters'?)
I have them in packs of 500 & will be glad to let you have some _gratis_, if
you feel you can use them or re-sell them.

In Berkeley, California on July 10th the
International Society for Design and Development in Education
announced the award of the first two ISDDE Prizes, of $10,000 each, to:
Malcolm Swan of the University of Nottingham, for The Language of
Functions and Graphs
Glenda Lappan and Elizabeth Phillips, jointly, of Michigan State
University for Connected Mathematics.
