Presentation of GeoGebra, a dynamic mathematics system for educational
use
Markus Hohenwarter of the Department for Mathematics and Computer
Science Education at the University of Salzburg is giving a presentation
on GeoGebra, followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion, at
the University of Southampton School of Education (UK) on Monday 3
October 2005.
GeoGebra is a dynamic mathematics system that links geometry, algebra
and calculus. It has been developed as open-source software for
educational use in secondary schools, and has received several
international awards including the European and German educational
software awards. The research project on which Markus is currently
working, GeoGebra - Development of Educational Material and Applications
in Mathematics Teaching, is supported by the Austrian Academy of
