Dear colleague
[with apologies if you receive this more than once]
Full information about the 7th International Conference on Technology and
Mathematics Teaching (ICTMT7), taking place 26-29 July 2005 in Bristol, UK,
is now available on the conference website:
http://www.ictmt7.org/
A distinctive feature of the conference is that it is being held at John
Cabot City Technology College, a school specialising in a technology-rich
curriculum that opened in 1993 in a brand new, and innovative, building. The
school is equipped with a large number of computers on a single, high
specification, network and is part of a research community that continuously
looks into ways of using ICT to improve student learning. This provides the
perfect opportunity to focus on the use of technology for mathematics
teaching in an exceptional school environment. For more information on the
school, please see:
http://www.cabot.ac.uk
Contributions to the conference are invited in the form of:
Research papers (please note: full papers are required, abstracts cannot be
considered)
Poster presentations
Workshops
Symposia
Submissions can be made online. The deadline for all submissions is 30 April
2005
All submissions will be peer-reviewed, with accepted contributions included
in the Conference proceedings. Authors of research papers also have the
opportunity to submit their full paper, perhaps revised and extended as a
result of presentation at the conference, for inclusion in a special
conference issue of the International Journal for Technology in Mathematics
Education (IJTME). Acceptance for publication in IJTME is subject to further
peer review and selected papers may be published in subsequent issues of the
journal. For details of the journal, please see:
http://www.researchinformation.co.uk/time.php
Online registration and payment forms will be available shortly on the
conference website. The deadline for registration with a reduced
registration fee is 1 May 2005. The final deadline, with full registration
fee, is 17 June 2005.
As well as the exceptional location, there is a full social programme at the
conference and opportunities to see more of this beautiful part of the UK.
We are looking forward to seeing you at the conference
best wishes
