[Maths-Education] new ITE maths tutors induction meeting

The TTA have funded a number of induction events for tutors who are new to 
ITE. Professional associations in mathematics (MA, ATM, BSRLM, AMET) were 
successful in a bid to develop and run the induction event for mathematics 
and to develop a range of support materials that will gradually become 
available over the next 18 months. The first part of the materials are now 
available online at www.itemaths.org.uk

The next induction event for secondary mathematics will be on Wednesday 8th 
September, 10:30 to 4:00, at the Institute of Education, London. This event 
will be suitable for new and relatively new full- or part-time tutors. The 
event will be led by experienced secondary mathematics education tutors and 
will also provide opportunities for participants to meet other colleagues 
and work with them. There will be no charge to course delegates, and lunch 
and refreshments will be provided.
