[Maths-Education] Clare and other issues

I haven't seen the video you are all talking about but have seen and worked
with many others. Perhaps negative teacher reations are understandable if
we think about what they may feel they are seeing. Here is yet another
video produced by those who would tell them how to do their jobs holding up
another paragon as an example of 'how to do it right'. Does anyone ever
bother to sit in their classes and praise them for their hard work,
thoughtful planning, management of difficult circumstances, or good
lesson/meeting? Of course not. So they are the suspect teachers who need to
be shown and here is someone to show them. I suggest that initial reactions
are almost bound to be anger and frustration. There are undoubtedly ways
around this. It is nice that Sally bothered to apologise if any of the
members of the email list felt she was teaching them to 'suck eggs' -
teachers never hear that from the makers of the videos ...
Just a thought.
