Subject: [J-PLUS] 4 Postdoctoral Fellowships in Astrophysics and Cosmology — J-TRAIN MSCA COFUND Programme
Dear J-PLUS colleges,
CEFCA invites applications for four postdoctoral fellowships under J-TRAIN, an MSCA COFUND programme (GA 101261714) co-funded by the EU. Fellows design and lead an independent research project in any area of astrophysics or cosmology aligned totally or partially with CEFCA's flagship surveys (J-PAS, J-PLUS, J-VAR) and/or the ARRAKIHS space mission, with full access to the observatory, data centre and outreach facilities at CEFCA.
Each 48-month, full-time position includes dual supervision (a CEFCA supervisor plus an international co-supervisor), two two-month international secondments, intersectoral training (Satlantis, Eurecat, AstroÁndalus), and a personalised Career Development Plan.
Requirements: PhD in astrophysics or a related field by the application deadline; compliance with the MSCA mobility rule (not resided/worked in Spain more than 12 of the last 36 months before the deadline). Open to all nationalities.
What we offer: gross annual salary of approx. €42,695 (minimum net approx. €31,248), full Spanish social security coverage, €500/month travel and networking allowance, and a dedicated training allowance.
Applications: cover letter, CV, PhD diploma, MSCA mobility declaration and evidence, Research Statement, two referee contacts, and ethics self-assessment.

Kind regards,
Carlos López, on behalf of J-TRAIN Programme Management Board
