Hello All,

To all PhD students who are partly or wholly funded by STFC: Please fill 
out this survey (you will receive a separate email from STFC). STFC take 
these seriously. They will chase me if you don't complete it and then I 
will have to chase you.

Could I ask that supervisors check with their relevant PhD students to 
ensure they have completed the survey.

Dear STFC PhD Supervisor

*2026 STFC ANNUAL STUDENT SURVEY*

We would like to inform you that we are about to notify STFC funded 
students that the annual questionnaire is ready for completion. This 
year’s completion date is Friday 31 July 2026.

We should therefore be grateful if you would encourage your students to 
complete the survey again this year.

This year the STFC Annual Student Survey has been split into 3 separate 
surveys:

PhD Student Starter survey

If your students experience any issues completing the questionnaire, 
then they should get in touch with us at studentships at stfc.ukri.org. If 
you are no longer a supervisor, then please update the records on the 
Studentship Data System and let us know for the purpose of this year’s 
exercise.
