Hello again,
Thank you to everyone who filled out the availability form. Based on the responses, Friday at 2 PM works best for the majority, so we’ll continue to hold the sessions at that time.
As a reminder, this Friday’s session will be an Introduction to CAPT, where we’ll cover the basics you need to start coding efficiently within the CAPT environment (Linux, GitHub, VSCode, SSH, and using captain).
If you haven’t already, please make sure to:
* Set up a GitHub account
* Download VSCode before the session
If you’re facing any other coding bugs, issues, or problems, feel free to bring them along.
Hope to see you on Friday!
Cheers,
Bradley

Subject: [Particles] [CAPT] Next CCC Session
Hello Coders,
Thank you to everyone who attended the first CAPT Coding Club (CCC) session!
For those who couldn’t make it, we discussed how we’d like future sessions to run and compiled a list of topics to cover. I’ve also set up a GitHub repository to store resources as we go: github.com/Bradley-March/capt-coding-club<https://github.com/Bradley-March/capt-coding-club>. The list of suggested topics is already available there.
It was agreed that future sessions should be split into two halves:
* The first half will focus on a specific topic
* The second half will serve as an open forum for anyone to bring in coding issues, bugs, or problems they’re stuck on
For our next session, we’ll spend the full hour on an introduction to CAPT. This will cover the basics of Linux, GitHub, VSCode, SSH, and using captain, giving everyone the tools to build upon in future sessions. Think of it as a setup session to ensure we all have the necessary framework in place.
We also discussed whether Friday is the best day for everyone. After checking room availability, the other possible times for A113 are 11 AM or 1:30 PM on Wednesday. To find the most convenient time for everyone, please take a moment to fill out this form<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSckl6u6A-izT6x9pdXTWHRXNli8nOuyo8pNDAl-5mkDDb6wlg/viewform?usp=sf_link> to help us decide.
