The first thing I'd like to do is to change the colours and size of the Learning Object. When I used the properties in the Xerte Developer Edition, either nothing happened or the screen went black with purple writing (which was definitely not what I put in!)

I've looked through the archives here and can find some references to the css stylesheet, but I can't seem to find that in my learning objects (though I have the common folder). I've also looked on the old xerte.net wiki and the new xerte.org.uk wiki (and in the forums!) and have come across links to tutorials:
1) Xerte Interface Tutorial
2) Xerte Style Sheet Reference
3)Xerte LO Optional Properties Reference
4) Using Script to Modify your Xerte interface.

I guess scripting isn't actually what I'm after on this occasion, but it is certainly something I'd like to find out more about. I use the page wizards already and find them really useful.

I'm using 2.18 if that helps?
What customizations are we talking about? And do you use the pages in Xerte standalone?

If you do, you can customize the look and feel of pretty much everything by double-clicking on the top most item in the list (default name is Learning Object) and then choosing 'Advanced Display'.

Mind you, this only works this way for Xerte Standalone and if you create the project via Pages->Create new Page Project.

You can accomplish some of the customizations in XOT as well, but it requires different/more work.
