Ok than, XOT. There are some rough edges in Choosing the language. I
need to improve on that.<br>

To only PLAY the LO in Hungarian, you need: <br>
1. a hungarian version of languages/engine_en-GB.xml<br>
2. add an entry for Hungarian in languages/language-config.xml<br>
3. Have a language attribute in learningObject node of the
USER-FILES/5-tom-Nottingham/data.xml file, where 5 is the ' id' of
the LO and tom is the user name of the creator of the LO and
Nottingham id the name of the template. I.e:<br>

<font face="Courier New, Courier, monospace"><learningObject
language="nl-NL" name="Learning Object Title" ...</font><br>
<br>
The value of the attribute, in this case "nl-NL" , should be the
same as mentioned in the file modified in step 2.<br>
4. For specific words in some of the templates you have to edit the
LO:<br>
<br>
For example the words you mentioned are in the quiz. Go to the quiz
page of your LO and toggle the ' language attribute' <br>
<br>

Then, you can overrule the default, in your case English text, used
in the quiz:<br>

You should be able to select the language before you login, but the
language config is not used yet, so even if you add Hungarian to the
language-config.xml file, Hungarian will not appear in the list.
Furthermore, if for some reason the master template contains a
language attribute, you can't overrule that.<br>

What we should also implement, but is not there yet is add the
language to the first setup page of a new LO.<br>
<br>
To be able to AUTHOR in Hungarian involves 3 extra steps and will
translate most of the XOT website and everything you see in the
'Wizard/editor'. Also the default texts for the phrases in quiz will
be in Hungarian. There is a special tool for that. I will gladly
point you in the right direction if you want to do that as well.<br>

As far as I can tell you are using the standalone/developer version of
Xerte, correct?
There are 4 components of standalone xerte that needs translation, if you
want to be able to author in Hungarian, i.e. that wizard forms are in
Hungarian too. If you're fine with the wizards being in English, and you
want the end-result to be in Hungarian (for the learner, that involves much
less work.)

still have one more issue: Is there a way to re-generate the languagae
variables in existing LO's? As far as I see translations in data.xvd
have an effect only on newly inserted pages. It's quite a big problem
for me since I've already made about 40 LO's
