I have now decided that the best course of action was to use Camstudio, with the lossless codec and record at the highest quality and save to .avi. My colleague then edits it using Final Cut. We will then upload to YouTube and put in any screen annotations and upload a text file with the text for subtitles and then embed the YouTube clip into Xerte.
