As far as I can tell, it will never work in Xerte desktop, the
JMolviewer java applet is not installed. I only found it in XOT.<br>
We could try to get it to work, but than we would have to install
the applet in common, and make sure it tries to fire up that version
when in a desktop environment.<br>

<b>Subject:</b> [Xerte] JMOL viewer<br>
</font><br>
</div>
<div>
<div>I am trying to test the JMOL viewer and have tried both
the page templates project template JMOL viewer page and a
new individual page template version.<br>
</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I get the same result with both versions of the page.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>If I preview the page in Xerte then the project freezes
without displaying the molecule. Closing the preview and
re-previewing results in a loading xml message and the
preview goes no further. This is only resolved by closing
and re-opening Xerte.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>If I publish the project and view it in internet explorer
the project no longer locks up so I can navigate backwards
and forwards between the pages. However the only thing that
displays on the JMOL viewer page is the text.
</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I have tried it with two different xyz files, one of
which was the caffeine.xyz file kindly supplied by Fay
Cross.
<br>
</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Does the JMOL viewer page need a plugin in the browser? </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Is there something I have missed? </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Or is there a known problem with the page (that I don't
know about)?</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Kind regards</div>
