<div>With respect to Wink files there was some discussion on the Xerte list a couple of years ago.<br></div><div><br></div><div>The page in the PageTemplates project wide template that displays swf files should display wink files as does the Text Flash SWF Page Wizard</div>
<div><br></div><div>There are a number of factors that you need to keep in mind when you create your wink video file, the following is from the Page Wizard documentation</div><div><br>For Wink files use the following settings<br>
Wink: framerate 24; Output to SWF; Preloader = No; Add Control Bar = Yes; max project dimensions 740 x 460.<br>Xerte: Add movie size parameter e.g.<br>“740,460”<br>Add Interactivity parameter = Native SWF<br>Note: including a pre-loader in the wink render settings will cause size problems, with its display in Xerte.<br>

I can’t use jing either because I need to be able to edit the video. I’ve found a free tool, wink, that I can use, but when I try to add a captivate movie made using wink in XOT (or in the standalone version of xerte), it seems to resize the video and zooms in on a small part of the screen. The resolution of the video is 685x514. I’ve tried to render the video in lots of different sizes but this doesn’t seem to make a difference. When I open it as a page wizard in xerte, there doesn’t seem to be any code to resize the video that I can fiddle with. Am I best off just getting a copy of captivate?</p>
