The tool kit text flv player has a "magnifying glass' like utube
full screen that increases the size of the flv to the workspace less
the overhead of top and bottom Xerte controls. <br>
<br>
If you capture the screen at a size that will fit into the available
space ie less than "full screen" then convert in Format factory with
the same size settings when you "magnify" you should expect to
replicate the original screen capture with similar detail as below .<br>

We use the page wizards in xerte 2.15 (not the tool kits) but I
think the magnifying control is the same. In xerte 2.15 page
wizards you can set the video size in script from the on movie load
event.<br>

The only issue for us is controlling the size and position of the
"magnified" video through script which we would like to do as we use
a customised framework, but this should not be an issue with tools
kits .<br>

expression screen capture ( max 9 minutes in free version) to
produce wmv with audio etc. its highly editable and a great
advance on media encoder 9 which was also free (but no time
limit).<br>
We have converted to flv with format factory > use page
wizards text flv > great result and resolution equal to
orignal.<br>
<br>
The trick with screen capture with small fonts etc for use in
exerte seems to be to capture a portion of a screen equal to
the size you will display in xerte as when you make the flv
full size it still fits "inside" the xerte player.
<br>
So you will loose resolution if you are capturing fine detail
because it gets shrunk.<br>
It would be nice to have a native player at full screen with
Xerte controls so you have the option make it fill the whole
screen (like utube). Click to return to within xerte player.<br>

learn (very quickly!!) how to use Xerte, (mainly thanks to
Rons videos) but I do have some questions on video and would

narration at the same time. These are .wmv files and then we
have to convert those through CuCusoft software to a flv
format. When I add a media/video page in my learning object
it either takes over the screen and gets in the way of
navigation, or adding the default video size window
completely distorts it? I have tried various resolutions of
the same video and changed the video size in various
increments on the media/video page but to no avail. </span>
