work when output as flash &amp; html e.g. don't work when uploaded to YouTube.
I think they can be set to send scorm calls but I think Captivate wins out in
that area however I don't think Captivate is a tool for non-specialists.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>Yes the PowerPoint add-in is
very good for recording narrated presentations and combining them with recorded
demos etc.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>One of the real benefits of
Camtasia Studio for me is the automated zoom areas and editing capability -
much easier to trim clips and replace or intersect new recordings than with
Captivate. Again not everyone will go that far but it is a tool that for
instance a teacher could record the main content easily and a specialist could
tweak and improve with the same tool. e.g. adding captions, zoom areas,
animations etc.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

route. This would be baptism by fire for some staff. I can see why someone like
you would really like it (I quite like it), but I can&#8217;t think of too many
teaching staff with ether the time or skills to make the most of it &#8211; it
seems a bit intimidating at first, but perhaps that eases off with a bit of
time. The trouble is getting staff through that initial &#8216;bit&#8217; of

use Camtasia Studio as my first choice over other pro tools like Captivate. I
used to prefer the latter because of the smaller files size e.g. recording
stills rather than continuous motion and outputting as flash but with devices
like iOS devices&nbsp; and popularity and functionality of YouTube video seems
to be the best format anyway and Camtasia Studio is far more like a video
editing tool than other tools. There are loads of resources and tutorials on
the camtasia site and elsewhere so I think all of your listed profiles apply.
It's got good options for setting up templates with intro's and outro's etc so
that all teaching staff have to do is record their bit. But it's definitely not
as easy to use as camstudio or jing or screenr etc. I'd say there's a
progression route from those solutions to Camtasia Studio for those who really
want to get more professional results via post production and editing etc.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
