I did set the permissions before I started the installation and I've just doubled checked and they match what it says in the installation guide: 0777 for the root, setup, error logs, user files and import folders.<BR>

Sounds like either the root folder or the setup folder aren't writable too.<BR>

I'm currently trying to install the Xerte online toolkit on a Ubuntu Server VM when I click the last next on the install wizard I get a page full of MySQL errors: .has failed due to Access denied for user 'www-data'@'localhost' (using password: NO)I'm not quite sure where it's getting these details from as I did set a MySQL password during install and I entered it in the Xerte wizard. I'm sure I'm doing something fairly daft.<BR>
