I can think of two reasons:<br>
1. the permissions of index.php are wrong (you can check that by referring to index.php explicitly in the URL. If that works, permissions are ok)<br>
2. index.php is not treated as a 'start page' by your webserver (cf. DirectoryIndex in the apache configuration)<div class="im"><br>

What is meant here, is that you replace index.php by switch.php,<br>
or more to the point copy switch.php (or switch.txt) over<br>
index.php. Then you don't need to specify the switch.php in the<br>
url. Explicitly referring top switch.php in the url also works...<br>
