I now have an rlo called ‘Twenty Questions’ of which the user only has to answer four, although so far I’ve only created three questions – but that was to test that it could be transferred. I have copied over the quiz.rlm file from the standalone to the online models (parent_templates/Nottingham/models) and have also updated th QUIZ section in the data.xwd file in parent_templates/Nottingham. However, if I create a new Quiz, I still don’t get the ‘Number of Questions’ option. </SPAN></P>

Options would be ‘All’ or a number. The randomness is already done – right now it is set to use all the questions, so would just need to change a couple of variables, I think.</SPAN></P>

The current Academic year is getting underway in East Anglia and I’ve got two Adult and Community Learning Providers who are keen to get going with Xerte. They asked me whether there was a way of making a random selection of questions from a pool, e.g. to select six questions out of a popssible 30 for example. This would enable it’s use in a group context because it would prevent all the students getting the same questions.</SPAN></P>
