<DIV dir=ltr><FONT face=Arial size=2>If you are deploying lots of pieces, there is an example somewhere that shows you how to have them all using a single web page and engine file, i.e. only have one copy of the files on your server, rather than one per learning object. Then there is only one file to keep up to date, which I would recommend you do each time we announce a new build. This is a really nice way of maintaining a lot of learning objects, and we do this ourselves.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV dir=ltr><FONT face=Arial size=2>XMLEngine.swf changes the most. MainPreloader hardly ever. Sometimes the web pages change. We never break old functionality, only add new, so all old content should work with newer runtime files.</FONT></DIV>

Don't I have to create my own and add them to the launch page? Or are you refering to an updated XMLEngine.swf?</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

But then I look at which file dates/sizes changed, and some of the swf files haven't changed. Generally XMLEngine.swf will change, and I'll copy that to the webserver, the .rlo, and any other files that changed, but I usually don't upload the new html files, unless I notice a major change. </FONT></SPAN></DIV>

<P><FONT face=Verdana size=2>If I have previously published an Xerte piece, then need to make a change, is it necessary to Publish again? Can I just copy the updated .rlo to the webserver? It seems Publish creates the launching html page, but once you've done that you shouldn't need to do it again, right?</FONT></P>
