(double-click index.html) I get no pop-up with 'null' in the box after I
click the button. When running through a webserver, I get the pop-up with "hello
world" after clicking the button, and the box has 'the function returned'. Looks
like ExternalInterface requires a webserver?</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

have now isolated the problem. ExternalInterface fails for you yet the same
files work for me. If you access the files on our web server, they work. If
you access the same files on your local machine, or on your own webserver
or on Claroline they do not work. They are the same files, right? Whether they
work or not seems to depend on where they are being served
from.</FONT></DIV>
