FYI

I'll make sure to be present as well.

Ron, we should discuss David Goodwins solution to using sqlite, before the meeting. I understand what he's trying to accomplish, but don't know whther it's the best way forward.

Regards,

Tom

Xerte Toolkits is a free open source content creation tool that allows tutors with modest IT skills to create mobile-friendly learning resources with a high native accessibility but many enthusiastic tutors get stuck at the first hurdle because the IT team need to install it on the server and getting institutional buy-in can be a long and tortuous process .

This month's free XerteFriday webinar is about getting institutional buy in for Xerte Toolkits including

  * persuading IT and other stakeholders that you need it - the business case
  * system requirements - now and in future
  * where and how to get it - initially and in future
  * compatibility and integration with your existing systems - learning content as well as technical
  * authentication options and which is most suitable for your organisation
  * installing and upgrading - general steps and considerations
  *   maintenance requirements
  * managing and supporting your installation - users and learning content
  *   roles and responsibilities
Ron Mitchell from Mitchellmedia will be guest presenter for this session so it will definitely be worth coming to!
