There were some fixes for the DB installation last friday.
Please consider to update to the lastest v2. (by unzipping the 2.0 update package over the current install) or see the forum on how to correct it manually:

Yes Thanks Pat, I did see the other posts on Xerte-dev and forward them on to our technician. I wasn't able to respond on that list due to an email issue.
He's still drawing a blank, unfortunately. The latest question is:
I am trying to use DB as the authentication method which requires the users to be added manually via the management interface.
I get the following error when entering the new users details:
Error when adding to the Db, do you have write permissions for MySQL?
