[Xerte] Re: Some help with Xerte

I'm having the same problem with Blackboard (Bb9.1 SP9 also) although it could be the settings I choose when I import it (I've tried all combinations) I get it imported and the Quiz even sets up a Column in the Grade Centre, but as with Matt it won't run - it opens up a window tries to run but comes up with the message : Lesson suspended.
Any thoughts?

Matt,

This particular problem has been addressed in the latest installer in the Nottingham website (http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/xerte/downloads/setup.exe).

Even though it says the last update is November 5th, it is apparently more recent.

At least that's working for me. If after installing the latest xerte desktop, you still have problems, please let me know. You can verify if this particular problem has been resolved by checking the languages folder of the project folder (or inside the .zip). It should contain more than 1 file.

Regards,

Tom

Thanks for the quick responses, we are using Xerte 2.18. Please find attached a SCORM package with just two pages, I have had some success using the online toolkit locally on my machine this exported a test SCORM 2004 package which worked in Blackboard, I beginning to wonder if it is the way in which the learning object has been created. Attached is a two page example that have tried to create in a similar fashion to the learning object I am struggling with (this also doesn't work in Blackboard)

Many Thanks

Normally that shouldn't be necessary. Even without tracking, it should just work.
I suspect missing languages folder, i.e. an older xot installation.

have you enabled the tracking option?

What version of XOT/Xerte are you using?

If possible could you create a small SCORM package (with just one page)
verify that that package doesn't work, and send it to the list?

Hello
Just a quick email to ask for some help, I am new to list so apologies
if this is a common issue, a member of staff has created nice learning
object using the developers tool and would like to import it into
Blackboard 9.1 service pack 9, I have tried to publish the object as a
either a SCORM 2004 or 1.2 package, this works fine. I then upload
the package into Blackboard as a SCORM package when I click to view
this content the window opens and then says loading then just hangs.
This happens with both SCORM versions and if I try to load the SCORM
package to Blackboards coursesites page which has the latest version
of BB with the same outcome

Has anyone had a similar experience or know of a solution.

Best
Matt Street
