Hello Ron
The LO is public and works to people I email it to. http://www.sehrdg.com/moodle/course/view.php?id=71 is the Moodle page, LO is in topic 2 but won't open up to guests.
Thanks
Jason

Hi Jason
the reason that happens is to prevent users logging in to your Moodle as guest and then authoring in your Xerte installation. However if the LO is public it shouldn't happen. Can you share the link to your guest access course here or even just the link to the public LO?
Can you close all browser windows and try again yourself? If you only visit the LO it shouldn't give you that message.

Subject: [Xerte] xerte LO link not opening in Moodle

Hello

Is anyone else having the same problem? I have set up a Moodle page and allowed guest access so that colleagues from other organisation can tap into a course. We are running Moodle 1.9 incidentally. I have a hyperlink to an old xerte 1.8 LO that I designed before upgrading to xerte 2.0, now when I visit as a guest I get the following message "Sorry you do not currently have permission to author with Xerte." This is from the Moodle page. When I log into Moodle with u/name & password I can access the LO. Why is this happening? I have visited the properties tab of the LO and copied the shortcut to the Moodle page again but this makes no difference. The toggle is set to Flash in the LO.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
